Today's ootd

Was going to save the sweater for 4th of July but I wanted to wear it at least once before I put it away for four months haha

1. American flag knit sweater. $17.99. Ross. 

2. Denim circle skirt. $14.99. Target.

3. Vintage Justin Boots. $35. Flea market.

3/18/13: Target & Ross Haul

Went to Target and Ross on Monday and found some cute things :)

1. Denim circle skirt. $14.99. Target. I've been wanting the light wash skirt from American Apparel but I found a cheaper one at Target, in the kids section lol I'll settle for this for awhile until my next visit to AA, someday haha

2. American flag knit sweater. $17.99. Ross. I think that was the price..... I almost put it away because of the price but I've always wanted something patriotic haha so I ended up getting it

3. Cream hi low dress. $10.99. Ross. The dress section is usually the first place I go through when I go to Ross and I found this and thought it would be perfect for the spring/summer weather

4. Top with sheer back. $5.49. This was originally $18.00 but was selling for $7 then got reduced to $5.49. I got it on clearance so for $5 I think it's a pretty good deal for a tank.

031013: Rose Bowl

Late but I finally finished this after it's been sitting in my drafts lol

The Rose Bowl

 TV holders, one of the first things I saw when I walked in. I thought it was weird but they are cute if you want a zebra stand or a basketball one haha 

He made models out of microchips and pieces of cd's, not something I would ever see down in a San Diego swap meet so I thought it was interesting. I asked him to pose with his son, cute how he was there to help his dad out :)

The second to last picture is pieces of metal made into different types of art pieces, there were things like flowers and chairs from what I can remember. The last photo was a big vintage superman doll, I thought it was pretty neat but the woman trying to sell it to me was asking for $50..... & well HECK NO haha I mean it really was cool though and I think a picture of the toy was good enough. If you notice there's a cute little ET at the bottom right corner too :)

So on the 10th of this month I FINALLY got to go to the Rose Bowl Flea Market and it was everything I thought it would be. The only difference between this place and a regular swap meet is that it is more pricier BUT you can barter for a lower price so that is good too. I didn't really buy much because I honestly wasn't expecting it to be as pricey but looking around there were neat things to see. These are just a few things I found and even though my come up wasn't much I'm still pretty satisfied.

I wish I bought more because they had so many to choose from but oh well until next time!

1. Floral leggings. $5.

2. Space leggings. $5.

3. Vintage boots. $35. Justin. The shoe selection is INSANE, and there is almost every type of vintage shoe there but the key is finding one you like in your size haha luckily I was able to pick these up and they were a 5 1/2 which is odd because I'm normally a 6 1/2 or 7, unless I'm reading it wrong. They were originally trying to sell them to me for $45 but I didn't think at a used condition they were worth that much so I got the price  down to $35. The price is still kind of high considering the fact that the shoes are not new but I had to have them so I got them! :D 

I only took a few pictures, which is weird because I should have taken more of what the place is actually like but it totally skipped my mind -_- oh well, it was a good first time experience though. Until next time!

LB 9: Tutus & Vintage Boots

Soooooo, I felt like being girly with my outfit today which is why I wore the tutu. I've been told I look like a fairy whenever I wear it but whatever lol got to wear my newly-used vintage boots today too (:

I'll go from top to bottom! 

1. Bow. Forever 21. It was originally a headband but I wanted to have it as an individual bow so I cut it and put it on an old hair clip and TA DA! There it is (: 

2. Denim vest. Abercrombie & Fitch. I got this as a gift and it originally came as a jean jacket but the sleeves were uncomfortable on my arms so I cut them off and now it is perfect for my spring and summer outfits. There's no way I would have paid the ridiculous prices they charge at the store, but hey I got it for free so yay me haha

3. Floral dress. $13. Ross.  I LOVE ROSS. No joke, almost every time I take a visit to the store I find something I like. You can't tell it's a dress, obviously, lol but I'm saving it for a different ootd :) so I guess you could say it's somewhat of a preview

4. Pink tutu. Forever 21. I can't remember how much this was since I have had it from the beginning of high school. I don't wear it as often but it's nice to take it out of my closet every once in awhile, especially on the days I'm feeling girly.

5. Vintage Justin boots. $35. Flea market. These are newly-used but after a good cleaning they came out okay (: I'm not really picky about used clothing/shoes, plus since they were already used I didn't have to worry about breaking them in, so that's cool too haha

LB 8: Simple

I liked my hair more than anything lol but today's outfit was just a simple one

1. Denim vest. Abercrombie & Fitch. I got this as a gift and it originally was a denim jacket but I cut the sleeves off.
2. Pleated dress. $16. TJ Maxx. The dress is sheer as you can tell, so I always have to wear a tank top and spankies whenever I wear it.
3. Sandals. Target. These are comfortable for short distances and not on hot days since the bottom heats up quick.

LB 7: Space

Honestly, I was kind of iffy on whether or not I should post my outfit since I wasn't sure if I really liked it or not but it actually doesn't look as bad as I thought it out to be.

1. Black top. Papaya. 

2. Denim Jacket. Mommy's closet. 

2. Space leggings. $5. Flea Market. First time I got to wear these! Really comfortable and they look awesome!

3. 1460 Dr. Martens. I am in looooooove with my combat boots, especially since these are my first owned pair ever. 

4. Stone necklace. I don't know what kind it is but my grandma gave it to me for my birthday a couple years ago and this is the first time I've worn it haha

4.  Striped bow. Forever 21. It came as a headband but I turned it into a little bow clip instead.

5. Sock bun. My hair doesn't usually stay all day but I use sea salt spray and it helps my bun stay in place instead of always falling out since my hair is kind of thick. 

Thrifting Mini Haul & Replacement

Went thrifting today since I decided to skip class lol not sorry. Went to Amvets for the first time and I felt so overwhelmed because the place was huuuuuuge. They were having red/white/blue tag 50% off special and I found exactly what I wanted, a dress and kids jeans, which I'm going to make into shorts! &Both for only $2.50 because of the discount (: My Docs weren't thrifted but I had a special order for them to be sent to me in the mail but the ones they sent me were used and beat up already -_- so I had to go replace them at the mall but at least now I have got my moneys worth for them. So excited to wear them too, my first combat boots I own :D Yay!

My high school graduation! My mom has always been there for me even if half the time we don't see eye to eye. I still love her though, I'm a momma's girl haha

Too bright!

Sun was so bright! I get really chinky when the sun is in my face or I can't even open my eyes at all d: but yeah an outfit that I didn't post to lookbook. 

1. Denim Jacket. H&M. $7. Honestly if it wasn't on sale I probably would not have bought it haha
2. Tank dress. H&M. A must have for me, I hate wearing pants because my legs feel so restricted every time I wear them. I'll wear them every once in awhile though.
3. Thigh high socks. American Apparel. 
4. Moccasins. H&M. $5. Got these for a steal since they used to be I think almost $30 or something like that. One of my most favorites to wear and they're cute!

LB 6: Denim denim Lace lace!

Felt like this was a pretty simple outfit. My first time trying denim on denim too! Can't even really tell what is lace or not :l

1. Denim jacket. From my mommy's closet.
3. Dooney & Bourke bag. Vintage. Got this for a steal at UCP! :)
2. Lace top. Ross.

4. Thigh high socks. American Apparel.

LB 5: Walk with me

I wasn't expecting the grass to be so dead ): but got some decent shots!

2. High waisted shorts. Foreign exchange. Got these at one of their half off sales, they were originally $22 but I got them for $8 and that's more than half but whatever good deal haha

LB 4: DEFEND HAWAII!

1. Defend Hawaii T-shirt. I think the cheapest you can get these on the website is $30 not sure though. Borrowed this from my brother, my sister always sends him cool shirts from Hawaii.
2. Thigh high socks. Whenever I go to American Apparel I always buy a pair of thigh high socks, if only there was one closer to home ):
3. Vans SK8 Hi's. So happy I finally got these! Been wanting them for the longest time and my sister bought them for me on my birthday :)

LB 3: 19!

Happy birthday to me! Spent it with my boyfriend in the day and at night went out with my friends for the first time to a hookah lounge. Enjoyed it! Plus went to Barona the next day to celebrate with my birthday twin and Knott's on Saturday, 3 day celebration. So grateful for my family and friends :)

1. High low dress. $7. I remembered seeing this dress but I didn't buy it because the price was too much and then what do you know it goes on sale haha yay for sales!!! :)
2. Jeweled necklace. Forever 21. They had a pretty good sale when I went to the XXI in Pasadena, 50% off sales? YES PLEASE haha
3. Wedges. Forever 21. I also got these at the 50% off sale, $8 and they are soooooooooo cute! :)
